Our Story
From a temporary experiment to a Gordons Bay favourite.
What started as a temporary experiment quickly became a unique little coffee shop in the heart of Gordons Bay. Today, On the Go is known for quality coffee, a warm beachfront atmosphere, fresh bakery favourites and a space people genuinely enjoy spending time in.
Across from the beach and shaped by years in the coffee industry, the shop has grown into a relaxed destination for locals, holidaymakers, families, remote workers and anyone looking for good food and good coffee in a beautiful setting.

How it started
Jaco and Yolande Naude, the creators of On the Go, entered the coffee shop business when they bought DCM Inc., a coffee shop at Stellenbosch University. That background gave them years of practical experience before On the Go took shape in Gordons Bay.
What began as a small experiment became a coffee shop known for quality coffee, a warm interior, bakery favourites and a beachfront setting that keeps people coming back.
That combination of experience, hospitality and atmosphere is still the heart of the brand today.
